My primary research interests are in anything sound-related. However, I specialise in marine soundscapes, the auto-detection of marine life using passive acoustics, ocean acoustic modelling, and how anthropogenic noise impacts sensitive marine life. I have worked with a range of species, from the smallest creatures in the oceans to the largest and have developed my own way of processing large acoustic datasets in good time. As a result, my work has taken me around the world.
